"For continuous good service over a long period. Petty Officer Wilson has served in the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve since March 1938. He has been an excellent example to his subordinates, by his unfailing cheerfulness and devotion to duty. He gave freely of his time to teach his men, thereby stimulating their interest and greatly increasing the efficiency of his branch in HMCS Inch Arran."
