"Matron Wilson, who transferred from the Army Medical Corps, was one of the first four Nursing Sisters to join the Royal Canadian Navy in December 1941. She has served at as Matron of Royal Canadian Naval Hospitals for a period exceeding three and a half years. Her work has been of an exceptionally high calibre, commanding the respect of all with whom she has come in contact, a tribute to her personality, energy and unquestionable loyalty to the high ideals of her profession. The high morale of patients was steadfastly maintained by her diligence, tact and cheerfulness at all times."
