"This Rating was a member of the after-supply party during an action with an enemy U-Boat. Although he naturally has had little of no experience in gunner, he was one of three ratings who brought 'Y' gun into action when an opportunity offered. 'Y' gun registered a direct hit on the enemy U-Boat, thus making a decisive contribution to the success of the action."
