"This rating has a continuous record of seagoing service on North Atlantic Escort Work since July, 1940. During almost two years in HMCS Morden (Flower Class Corvette - K170) and a similar period in HMCS Eyebright (Flower Class Corvette - K150), he has been a key man and a fine type of fighting man, deserving of recognition. He has shown consistently high devotion to duty during his length wartime service."
