"Leading Seaman Boaler joined the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve at the commencement of hostilities. He has served sixty months at sea in one ship, the S.S. Dentonia Park which went for long periods without touching a Canadian Port. His service at all times has shown a high standard of efficiency, zeal, initiative, and constant devotion to duty. He is well worthy of recognition."
