The History of the SHAWINIGAN (2nd)

Built by Halifax Shipyards Ltd., Halifax, N.S., she was commissioned at Trois Rivières, Quebec on June 14, 1997. On June 28, 1998, she celebrated the 75th anniversary of the naval reserve by participating in a sail past in Halifax Harbour. She was featured on a commemorative stamp issued for the occasion.
