"For valuable continuous service with the Royal Navy, Royal Canadian Air Force and Royal Canadian Navy for a period of thirty-nine years. Although eligible for pension in 1936, he volunteered his services to the Royal Canadian Air Force to train personnel in the use of crash boats and power boats. In 1941, he returned to Active Service with the Royal Canadian Navy. Mr. Zanelli has shown extraordinary zeal, cheerfulness and devotion to duty and has made a valuable contribution to the success of the training of Officer Candidates with which he has been connected since its inception."
