"This rating has rendered excellent service over a long period, particularly in the important task of training new entry cooks for general service. His duties in training male ratings and Wren Cooks, the majority of whom have had no previous cooking experience, have been carried out with patience, industry and tact at all times. His efforts are believed to have assisted greatly in the rapidly improving standard of cooking in the Service."
